Pastor Evelyn Black co-pastors Rivers of Living Water Ministry alongside her husband Apostle Kenny Black Sr. Together they shepard the congregation that God has entrusted to their care. They preach and teach the uncompromised word of God with an emphasis on Faith, prayer, intercession, and spiritual warfare.

Rivers of Living Water Ministry is a multifaceted ministry that has affected a positive change in many people's lives through various outreach programs such as food, clothing, toy drives and book bag/ school supply giveaways for the community. Pastor Evelyn's endeavors over the last 30 plus years include, but are not limited to

W.O.W, her Annual women's conference which teaches and empowers women from all walks of life to move past their hurt and towards their prophetic destiny in Christ. Whether her platform is a small intimate setting or on a grand stage, she encourages them to impart the love of God throughout their communities, chuches, and workplace.

She also teaches married women the importance of submission while managing the home, family and work of ministry.

She started a young adult ministry (CHOSEN), equipping them through teaching and example . She lets them know that they can live Godly lives while enjoying their youth. These young adults now minister to other young people. At the same time, Halal Dance

Ministry was also birthed through her love for the arts and she enjoys watching the ministry of liturgy dance through praise and worship.

Pastor Evelyn Black also took her work for ministry abroad to South Africa where she was able to minister to the lives of God's people; Igniting the flame in her even more to see people being blessed and lives being changed. She is currently a member of the Association of Independent Churches (A.I.M) of Houston Texas where Dr. I.V. Hilliard is the president. Pastor Evelyn Black credits her accomplishments to the support of her family “I take pride in all my endeavors and attribute it to my relationship with God, love and support of my husband Apostle Kenny Black Sr,. my children Kenny, Tangie, Kiara and my extended family and friends.

The Lord continues to bless her minister to the New York area in person and others near and far through livestream.
